Standard Sized Filter Cartridges for Preventing and Reducing Hardness Scale

ScaleNet is a premium grade TAC (Template Assisted Crystallization) medium that is most often used in "whole house" and commercial tank-style units. We have it as well in the four most popular cartridge sizes for smaller filters, from the popular undersink 9.75 X 2.5" to the double "Big Blue" 4.5" X 20" size. Recommended upper flow rates are from 1/2 to 4.0 gallons per minute.

ScaleNet is a proven scale treatment that has received a 99.6% efficiency rating when tested to DVGW (German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water) Standard W-512. (There is no no NSF/ANSI standard for products in this category.)

ScaleNet is a treatment for hardness. It can be used in water as hard as 75 grains per gallon. However, the water must be clean of iron, manganese, copper, oil, H2S and phosphate. It will withstand chlorine up to 3 ppm, but the media life is much greater if chlorine is removed before treatment with ScaleNet.

No media life guarantee is possible because of differing water quality and usage conditions. Under most conditions, however, the cartridge should be replaced every two years.

Suggested uses include reverse osmosis pretreatment to protect membranes from hardness scaling, pretreatment for hot tubs and spas, hot water heaters and instant hot water devices--anywhere scale is a problem.

TAC technology does not remove calcium and magnesium from water but renders it harmless to pipes and appliances. More details on how ScaleNet works
